Favorite Far-Off Places:
Disneyland, always. Played with the American High Marching Band in Anaheim, Napa, Fairfield, Alameda County Fair, Cal Football Halftime, and parades in Newark, and Niles. Went to London, Paris, and Disneyland Paris. Especially liked London and visited one of the last police boxes. Enjoyed Harry Potter Studios outside London.

Lots of reading. Likes to watch YouTube videos on computer. Played Xbox 360/ Xbox One including Assassin’s Creed series.

Highlights:
Switched from saxophone to bass clarinet in the Marching Band. Played the National Anthem with the Marching Band at an Oakland Athletics game. Played tour guide for his band buddies when they visited Disneyland and Disney California Adventure parks. Attended two weeks of Band Camp before school started in August. |

Disneyland especially California Screamin’ coaster. London (enjoyed the Continental Breakfasts including bacon!). London Eye. Disneyland Paris including Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. Science camp.

Hanging with friends. Lots of time drawing including characters and animals and scenes from video games. Nerf guns and Lego. Playing lots of Xbox 1 and 360 though has gone back to the Wii occasionally. Plays Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, and Assassin’s Creed Unity

London! Loved the London Eye, Tower Bridge, and the Harry Potter Studio tour. Enjoyed seeing the Eiffel Tower in Paris, but did not enjoy the heat or lines. Loved Big Thunder at Disneyland Paris. Also enjoyed Chicago with friends. Overnight stay in Montreal with free $150 dinner.

Highlights:
Attending LOTS of Marching Band activities with Riley. Taking Quinn to his drum lessons and seeing him progress. Getting to see lots of Giants games at AT&T, including Game 4 of the NLDS, where they clinched a spot in the championship series. I got to see Tom Bailey of Thompson Twins (favorite band when I was in high school), perform with Howard Jones (and some other 80’s bands). We actually got to see him perform twice this summer! Also enjoyed other live shows like Katy Perry, ABC and Pet Shop Boys. Also loved adding another dog to our family, attending SF Giants Fan Fest, and two trips to Disneyland. Oh, and I visited Target 78 times this year! |

Enjoyed our trip to London, Paris and especially Disneyland Paris. Tower of London, Tower Bridge tour, strolling Paris Beaches along the Seine. Visting Jim Morrison's grave and seeing Mona Lisa. Fab lunch at Blue Lagoon at DL Paris w/Julie (Riley/Quinn floated by in a Pirate ship). Visited Farrell’s ice cream for 1st time in decades. Watching Blue Angels from boat in SF Bay. Hiked 16th Ave Steps in SF and visited Fort Point.

Concerts this year: Pet Shop Boys, Franz Ferdinand, Howard Jones/Tom Bailey (including club show where I caught Bailey’s guitar pick!), ABC, Elton John
